What we collect
When you visit djproud.com, we collect website analytics through Google Analytics 4:
- Pages you visit, how far you scroll, and how long you stay
- Clicks — including outbound links (like Instagram) and file downloads
- Video plays and how much of a video you watch
- Site interactions: date checks, package views, wizard steps, booking dialog opens, checkout starts
- Device and browser type, approximate location (city-level, from your IP address — your full IP is never stored), and how you found the site
We also run Google Signals, which lets Google use signed-in session data for cross-device reporting and remarketing (for example, showing you a Proud Entertainment ad after you visit). This only activates if you accept advertising cookies.
If you fill out a form (date check, planner, contact), we receive exactly what you type — name, email, event details — so Barry can respond personally. We never buy, sell, or rent personal data. Period.
Your choice comes first
On your first visit you get a clear notice: analytics runs by default so we can see how the site's doing, and you can Decline to opt out of it, or Customize (analytics and advertising toggled separately). We use Google's Consent Mode, which means:
- Decline, and analytics stops — no analytics cookies from that point on. Google only receives privacy-safe, cookieless pings used for aggregate modeling.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a Decline automatically.
- Your choice is remembered on your device. Clear your browser storage and you'll be asked again.
What we deliberately don't do
- No screen recording or session replay of your visit.
- No fingerprinting tricks to track you around the web.
- No personal details hidden inside analytics events.
- Nothing aimed at children under 13 — this site is for adults planning events.
Why we collect it
To understand which pages and packages couples actually care about, fix what's confusing, and stop wasting money advertising to people who'll never book. Data makes the site better; that's the whole reason.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, then automatically deleted. Form submissions (your name, email, event details) are kept as business records so we can serve you and follow up.
Your rights
Want to see what we have on you, correct it, or delete it? Email proudentertainmentnj@gmail.com and Barry will handle it personally. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of selling — but the same email gets you access or deletion.
Cookies in use
- pe-consent-v1 (first-party, 1 year-ish, local storage) — remembers your Accept / Decline / Customize choice.
- _ga, _ga_<id> (Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics) — distinguishes visits, 2 years max.
- Google advertising cookies (only if you accept advertising) — power Google Signals remarketing.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the "last updated" date at the top changes with it. Continued use of the site after a change means you're good with the new version.
